Same-Day Kitchen Tap Replacement
Project Overview
FixWell Plumbing recently completed a same-day kitchen tap replacement in Ealing, W13 9JE. The customer required a like-for-like replacement of their existing kitchen mixer tap, with the work completed promptly to restore reliable hot and cold water operation.
As part of the installation, the existing tap was removed and new quarter-turn isolation valves were fitted to the hot and cold supplies. This provides reliable local isolation and makes any future tap maintenance or replacement more straightforward.
Scope of Work
Safely isolated the hot and cold water supplies
Removed the existing kitchen mixer tap
Supplied a suitable like-for-like replacement mixer tap
Installed new quarter-turn isolation valves to the hot and cold supplies
Fitted, aligned and securely fixed the new kitchen mixer tap
Reconnected the water supplies using quality plumbing fittings
Restored the water supply and checked all connections
Cleaned the working area and completed final checks
Tested hot and cold water operation
Carried out a full pressure and leak test
The Installation
Access beneath kitchen sinks can often be restricted by pipework, waste connections and the sink itself. The existing connections were carefully removed before the new isolation valves and tap connections were installed.
The new chrome mixer tap was then positioned and secured to provide a neat, practical replacement while retaining the familiar style and functionality of the previous tap.
Outcome
The replacement was successfully completed on the same day, leaving the customer with a fully operational kitchen mixer tap and improved isolation on both water supplies.
Hot and cold water flow was tested, all new connections were checked under pressure, and the installation was confirmed to be secure and leak-free before completion.
The result is a straightforward but important plumbing upgrade that restores reliable everyday use of the kitchen sink while making future maintenance easier.
