Concealed Thermostatic Shower Valve Repair
Project Overview
We recently completed a concealed thermostatic shower valve repair for a customer in Ealing, W5 5NH. The shower had developed operational issues due to a faulty 2-way diverter cartridge and limescale build-up affecting the valve’s performance.
Rather than replacing the entire shower valve, we carried out a cost-effective repair by installing a new genuine diverter cartridge and servicing the internal components. This restored smooth operation while extending the lifespan of the existing concealed shower system.
Scope of Work
Removed the shower controls and access plate
Replaced the faulty 2-way diverter cartridge
Supplied and fitted a new replacement cartridge
Cleaned the internal valve components
Removed limescale and mineral deposits
Polished the chrome controls and faceplate
Reassembled and aligned all components
Tested temperature control and diverter functions
Checked for leaks and verified correct operation
Outcome
The concealed shower valve was successfully restored to full working order without the need for a complete replacement. The new diverter cartridge provides smooth switching between shower outlets, while the cleaned internal components improve overall performance and reliability. Following comprehensive testing, the shower was confirmed to be leak-free and operating exactly as intended.
