Copper Pipework Repair Under Bathroom Floor in Southall

Project Overview

FixWell Plumbing recently completed an under-floor copper pipework repair in Southall after a problem was identified within the existing bathroom plumbing.

Access was gained beneath the bathroom floor to inspect the pipework and locate the affected section. The plumbing system was fully drained before the damaged copper pipe was cut out and replaced with new copper pipework and fittings.

Traditional soldered joints were used to provide a secure and durable repair. Once the work was completed, the system was refilled, tested, and carefully checked for leaks.

Copper pipework installed beneath floorboards can develop leaks or deteriorate over time, particularly around older joints and sections of pipework. Because these pipes are concealed, correctly locating the problem and carrying out a reliable repair is important before the floor is reinstated.

For this project, only the affected section was replaced while retaining the existing serviceable copper pipework. The new section was soldered into the existing system to provide a durable repair without unnecessarily replacing unaffected sections of pipework.

Outcome

The damaged section of copper pipework was successfully replaced, and the plumbing system was returned to service. After the system was refilled, the repaired section and surrounding connections were thoroughly checked to confirm that there were no leaks and that the installation was fully watertight.
